ORONO The University of Maine System Board of Trustees will meet Sunday, September 19 and Monday, September 20 in Orono at the University of Maine. All meetings will take place at Wells Conference Center.
The agenda includes discussion and approval of the University of Maine System Strategic Plan, which was released on Friday. The Strategic Planning Steering Committee will discuss the Plan on Monday during its 8:15-9:45 a.m. meeting, and the full Board will vote on the Plan when it convenes in the afternoon.
The agenda also includes discussion and approval of the Systems biennium budget request for 2006-07; and an update on several matters relating to university facilities, including the planned move to downtown Bangor, tentatively scheduled for June 2005, of the University Systems central office. Other agenda items include the Systems five-year capital plan and System-wide construction projects; a presentation from UMaine Cooperative Extension; and discussion of other matters relating to finance and human resources.
Discussion will take place during committee sessions scheduled for Sunday afternoon and Monday morning, followed by a meeting of the full Board of Trustees at 1:15 p.m.
